- James River Equipment is off and running!
James River Equipment has officially formed its first running team. On April 1, 2006 Brad Maas, Bertsch Cox, Sharon Charlton, Donna Romer and Hattie Yancey participated in the Monument Avenue 10K held in Richmond, Virginia. James River Equipment was part of the 20,000.00 participants. Everyone finished and enjoyed every minute of it. We hope to continue running in many local events. Watch for us on November 11, 2006 when we add more to our team and we take on the Ntelos 8K held in Richmond, Virginia.
- James River Equipment raises over $79,000 for Victory Junction
Camp
James River Equipment has just completed its annual Victory Junction charity auction. The event was a tremendous success with over $79,000 raised, thanks to all our wonderful vendors. Their generous cash donations and charitable contributions were greatly appreciated. The event began early in the day with hundreds of guest arriving at the Victory Junction camp for a guided tour of the camp facilities and a delicious barbecue catered lunch. The rainy weather could not dampen their spirits, as they were delighted by all of the technology and love poured into every single building.
The evening was just as eventful with over 300 guests in attendance including Richard, Kyle and Patty Petty. Kyle and Patty spoke about the decision to honor their son's dream of building a camp for chronically ill children. "You just see the kids, and you feel Adam's spirit." Kyle said. Another highlight of the night was when Richard took off his famous hat and sunglasses to be auctioned. Those items alone brought another $5,000.00 to the total!
Thanks to everyone for their hard work and contributions.
We look forward to seeing you next time.
- James River Equipment Sponsors the 2005 VDHA Golf Championships
James River Equipment was a proud gold sponsor of the Second Annual Virginia Deer Hunters Associations (VDHA) Golf Tournament, which was held at the Highlands Golf Club.
James River Equipment's own Nick Hall was on hand as Vice President of the VDHA, providing golfers with the opportunity to purchase tee shots for $20.00, with all proceeds going to the Association. And as luck would have it, Nick scored an ace with one of his shots and for those of you who know him - you know it will be a long time before he lets us forget that!
Thanks to everyone for joining us for a great day and we look forward to seeing you next year!
